Tijdens de COVID-periode voerde ik betekenisvolle gesprekken met mensen over hun beleving van intimiteit. Dit onderzoek leidde tot de film Unfold, die thema’s als nabijheid, afstand en kwetsbaarheid verkent.
Voortbouwend op dat werk ontwikkelde ik het boekje Intimiteit: een visuele publicatie die de essentie van die dialogen vastlegt en verder uitdiept. Het combineert analoge fotografie, risoprints en typografie. Materialen die bewust zijn gekozen om de tastbare en emotionele lagen van menselijke verbondenheid te weerspiegelen.
Gemaakt in een tijd van sociale afstand, erkent het werk op subtiele wijze de context waarin het ontstond, terwijl het de nadruk legt op de universele aard van intimiteit.

During the COVID period, I engaged in meaningful conversations with individuals about their perceptions of intimacy. This research led to the creation of the film Unfold, which explores themes of closeness, distance, and vulnerability.
Building on that work, I developed the booklet Intimiteit: a visual publication that captures and extends the essence of those dialogues. It combines analog photography, risograph prints, and typography. Materials chosen to reflect the tactile and emotional layers of human connection.
Created during a time of social distance, the work quietly acknowledges the context in which it emerged, while focusing on the universal nature of intimacy.
